Ive been recomended anything from throttle body cleaner (helped a little) , so simichrome.... The original question was what can i use to remove the black build up on my muffler, but i think im dealing with something a little bit different than what everybody else thinks... On the front plate part of my muffler where the tips come out of, there is a black layer that almost resembles paint. Its hardened and will CHIP off as i scrape it really hard with a finger nail. Is this just from having exhaust cooking on my muffler from the past years that caused it to harden like this? What do you recomend using to get it off? Any opinions? Thx! -Tim
